With continued capacity expansion and increasing demands for production, the existing material handling system frequently failed and could no longer meet the current demands. Mconvey customized an automated Plastic material conveying system for its 12 injection molding machines, improving feeding efficiency and system stability.

Dual mode of conveying design

Raw materials are automatically fed into jumbo bags with positive pressure and efficiently conveyed to 125 ton silo. Then, delivered to a centralized drying silo via negative pressure weighing and dosing. Through raw material distribution station, conveying to injection molding machine via a high-efficiency, energy-saving permanent magnet vacuum pump unit under negative pressure.

The negative pressure system utilizes a two-stage permanent magnet variable-frequency energy-saving vacuum pump. One unit can replace multiple traditional Roots units, achieving energy savings 35%-40%. Equipped with a dual-drive direct-drive transmission and dual-frequency intelligent control, the Roots vacuum pump unit is oil-free and water-free, eliminating the risk of dust escaping from the filter element during conveying and entering the pump, potentially causing blockage. The permanent magnet vacuum pumps are equipped with a mobile app for real-time monitoring of all operational status of the vacuum pumping station.This system is controlled by a PLC, featuring an touchscreen interface. Integrated sensors for pressure, temperature, air volume, and current enable intelligent monitoring, curve recording, fault tracing, and early warning. A remote communication port is also available for future expansion. A buffered, pressure-stabilizing filter further reduces pressure fluctuations, prevents blockage, and prevents dust, ensuring continuous and stable delivery.

Insulated drying system

A double-layer insulated dryer is used to dry materials, offering excellent insulation and significant energy savings. Equipped with a variable frequency energy-saving control system, it features multiple real-time temperature displays, a timer, and dual overload protection, ensuring precise drying and reliable operation.

Efficient Raw Material Distribution Management

Two raw material distribution stations, one for drying system and the other for injection molding machine, enable precise switching and intelligent distribution of raw materials between different process flows. Centralized control enables automatic switching of multiple pipelines and directional feeding, ensuring clear material flow, effectively preventing material mixing and waste, and improving production efficiency and management.

Intelligent Control System

The system supports both automatic and manual control. The negative pressure system provides alarms for faults, empty suction, and low-material intake, and real-time display of injection molding machine and dryer material intake and valve operation. A remote communication interface is provided for easy information integration. The positive pressure system controls fan and valve switching, frequency-controlled activation of the rotary discharge valve, and radar-based material level display. It also provides low-material and fault alarms and a remote communication interface. The two systems work together to achieve intelligent monitoring of the entire feeding process, ensuring stable and efficient production.
