Energy-Saving Material Handling Solution For Pipe Extrusion

In pipe extrusion, automated material handling how to achieve reliable, energy saving and space saving still the goal that many factories care about when building or renovating.

In this project, customer mainly produces HDPE, PPR, and PERT pipes, involving different extrusion lines, with many types of raw materials and different use frequencies. Mconvey provides a complete set of automated plastic pellet conveying systems, covering material debagging, storage, drying, dosing, mixing, and centralized conveying. The system has been successfully put into application and has achieved stable connection with multiple extrusion lines for the customer.

Vacuum conveying system

Different from traditional high-consumption multi-pump configuration, Mconvey vacuum conveying system adopts a permanent magnetic vacuum pump group and intelligent dust removal integrated design. One set of pumps can cover multi-point delivery, reduce overall energy consumption and save energy by up to 40%. The system has a compact structure, occupies less space with lower noise and stable running. Equipped with PLC control and intelligent monitoring functions, it supports real-time data viewing and remote management, making it easier to use.

Heat preservation and drying

The drying uses an insulation dryer equipped with a P.I.D. digital temperature control system and LCD display, which ensures accurate and reliable temperature control. The equipment adopts a double-layer insulation structure and a downward blowing design to achieve uniform distribution of hot air, improve drying efficiency, reduce energy consumption, ensure stable moisture content of raw materials, and effectively reduce the moisture content of raw materials.

Dosing and mixing

Mconvey is equipped with multi-component gravimetric blenders to achieve automatic weighing and mixing of materials. The system accurately controls the material ratio through preset proportions, avoids manual errors, improves the consistency, and helps the stable operation of the extrusion. In addition, it is also equipped with a vertical mixer, which can mix while feeding, and it is easy to clean and has a fast-mixing speed, effectively improving the batching efficiency, and is more flexible when used with an automatic feeding system.

Platform compact structure design

Material handling system adopts a multi floor platform structure design. Down floor is feeding area, storage area and drying area, and the upper floor is the weighing and mixing area, with clear functional divisions and reasonable layout,  greatly saves floor space, facilitates on-site management and  maintenance.
